Smuggling in water to events

Since I don't drink soft drinks and when I'm feeling crappy I need something to drink, I always bring a sealed bottle of water with me. Last night at a concert I was a searched and discovered for the first time. I said I needed it for health reasons and the guy who searched me said to just tell the next person the same reason. I told him too and they let me through with it. Just thought I would share that this actually worked. I have been successful lots of times without even dealing with security but I always figured they would just make me throw it out. I was surprised this time, of all concepts it was a top 40 artist I choose not to name where I got caught! Just a helpful tip for us ucers but just don't expect it to work at airport security!

You can always bring in an empty water bottle and fill it at a water fountain. That's what I do at the airport. I hate paying a lot for bottled water.

I've had luck putting an 8 or 10 oz. bottle of water in my raincoat pocket for concert venues. The security guards generally want to inspect my shoulder bag. It tends to be more of a hassle at museums because the staff fears some kook may try to damage art works with concealed fluid. / Old Hat (34 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
