Coconut

A little nugget of information.....

I never EVER get constipation, not before or after having contracted UC, but the other day was the first time I experienced that and it was horrific!!!! (it brought back memories of child birth) and I quickly knew what the cause was..I had eaten quite a lot of Coconut!! and so I thought I would pass this little nugget of information on as some of you may want to try eating coconut to bulk up your stools...


I cant seem to do things in moderation, I find something I like and then overdue it! lol

For about three days running I ate half a coconut (the white flesh) every day.

I am actually in remission, with excellent poops, so this was a definite change for me!!!

If you Google the health benefits of coconut you will find it is packed full of good stuff, its classed as a "super food" and for those that want to gain or maintain weight its beneficial too!

coconut flour does that to me, too. it absorbs tons of liquid.

do u eat it raw or u cook it? how can i know that a coconut is ripe enough to eat? it's always so much work breaking it apart!

I eat it raw, I'm not sure how to tell when its okay to eat.....Google that!!

It is a pain breaking them apart but I always give that job to someone else!

@ Banana girl...I would imagine it does, its such a great drupe!

I just found out they are called drupes!!..weird
