As a random note, my dad used to fly smaller planes... worked at an airport, etc... One time dad went for a ride with a guy, and the guy crashed the plane.
My dad flew the line at UAL, and I knew the pilot who landed UAL 232 in Sioux City when the tail engine distentegrated and took out all redundant hydraulic control lines.
Denny landed the plane without the failed flight controls using differential power on the remaining wing engines. I hang glided with a friend that was the top Airshow pilot around the world. I taught people how to fly all kinds of planes and I saw all kinds of mistakes and crashes.
Those were the best days, I had no UC I flew freight at night and taught students in the day, thousands of hours seeing the US countryside and learning about
people, weather, materials.
Each airport usually has a graveyard nearby consisting of smashed up or burned a/c remains, I could tell stories for days on end, the more I tell them the more I remember.
