Women problems and Bladder issues with UC

Has anyone had any bladder issues along with their UC? I have feelings like a bladder infection and blood in my urine but no bacteria. I had a culture done and it showed that I did have a case of BV. A round of flagyl made it go away but here I am two weeks later and it's back!!! And driving me crazy!!!! Now I'm wondering if it is the BV that's making me feel like this or if it's something else like IC. Any information would be helpful.

When I was in a bad flare two years ago I had bladder issues as well. I took an over the counter medicine from the drugstore for bladder infections. It really helped. My theory is that when your UC is really bad, sometimes women's plumbing can get messy with some cross contamination. I know that's gross, but when you're constantly going to the bathroom with a UC flare, it's bound to happen. I forget the name of the med...but it was in the feminine products section....little red pills and you have to drink a lot of water to flush the system. Hope you feel better....bladder infections are miserable.
