Vomiting and UC

I seem to be flaring, tenesmus, constipation. It was so bad today I had nausea and vomited six times while still trying to have a bowel movement.

Now, this has never happened to me before. What does one thing have to do with the other? Why would nausea accompany a UC attack?

I feel better now btw.

Maybe it's a coincidence? Stomach bug?

I say that because I hope it's not UC-related. For me, vomiting during a flare means I am really bad, like need to go to the hospital bad, and I don't want that to be the case for you.

It happened during my only severe flare because I tried to cure myself without meds. That was before I took my UC seriously. I was an idiot!

You feeling better is a good sign. Once my vomiting started, it didn't get better on its own and I felt progressively worse each day. If you start vomiting again, call your doctor! Don't wait.

Common to have nausea with pain. Stomach acid can be a culprit too. Not to mention the meds that accompany this fine disease. Glad you are feeling better. Get a script for Zofran to have on hand.

Journey-how are you feeling today? Any more vomiting?

Thanks for all your advice and thanks Kypton for asking about my progress. I still have some nausea, but so far it's not associated with bowel movement. I seem to have them every three or four days.

Doing more enemas and suppositories. Really, thanks to all for engaging in this discussion.
