Thymus gland enlarged

Oh God,,,a new problem,,,Yesterday, my son, who is having all kinds of problems,,,woke up with this swelling in the middle of his chest right below his neck..we looked it up, and it was his thymus gland,,,and upon reading about it, said that that is the gland that has to do with your immune system...Since he was put on 80mgs of Prednisone for his skin eruptions,,,this may have caused it...Did any one else ever get this? He is at the regular doctors right now to see what this means...His Gastro doc wants to up his Remicade to the limit, once a month, but now I wonder if they know what they're doing.. All these meds seem to make things worse.

Unfortunately for something as rare as this, you probably wont get many answers here. But from what I know about immunology and the thymus, there shouldnt be too much cause for concern. The thymus is the organ where T cells are generated, so if it was the drugs causing the issue, I would expect it to be underactive, not over.
