Has anyone tried the newly FDA approved Uceris Foam? How has your experience been?

Just wondering how you are doing with Entyvio? Any luck getting IVIG?

is there such a thing (in Canada?) Or is this the same as cortifoam/protifoam? i've used both, but really don't notice a difference....

I haven't tried it but we have a user on entyvio that was recently prescribed it. I can't remember her username right now... Have you tried cortifoam? it has to be very similar, no? I wonder what the benefit of uceris foam is over something like cortifoam.

It was me who got an Rx for it, but it's apparently not on the market in the US yet. I think it's available in Europe but not here. I was excited to try it, but I guess I'll have to wait. I don't know when it will be available.

supposedly the uceris foam delivers the medicine up higher than the cortifoam
"extending up to 40cm from the anal verge".

just looked up uceris foam on my insurance plan and yes it is available according to the caremark website under my plan now. it was not available a month ago, because I looked for it. It is expensive though $250.00 for a months supply. I wonder if it is less systematic than the hydrocortisone enemas which I love, by the way.

the max I can pay with my insurance is $50 I think. I pay that for cortifoam. If this goes higher, I would try it for sure!!
elw, it was totally you I was thinking of :)
How are you feeling?

As of 2 weeks ago Uceris Foam was not in production. I called the drug company. There was a "production error." The person I spoke to said there was not a firm date on when production would start.
If anyone knows any different please let me know! I am not having much luck w/ Entyvio and my GI wants me to add this in.

The IBD nurse practitioner at Cedars Sinai said it is supposed to be much stronger than other steroid enemas.

I have tried oral Uceris twice. I just came off it last week after 6 weeks on it w/ no change.

Notsosicklygirl, I'm doing well! I had a setback for about
a week but figured out it was the Rowasa enemas causing the problems. I quit them, and the bleeding cleared right up. Now I have just a tiny bit of blood, some mucus (which I think is normal--my colon will still produce it). And, I can sleep through the night, which I haven't done for about
seven months! I think the Entyvio is helping as well. My fourth infusion is next week, which I'm excited about
.
