symptoms changed from blood to diarrhea

Sounds like a flare. What meds are you on?

Streak of blood on the paper in my opinion is better than D. Usually my flares start with blood and eventually turn to blood and D. Rarely do i have a flare and not have both...

I am taking Lialda (Mesalamine) 4 pills a day and Canasa (Mesalamine) 1 suppository a day.

Sounds like fairly common flare symptoms that many have, bleeding and D definitely = flare sorry to say. Are you on any meds?

Are you taking any fiber supplements or eating enough fiberous foods? That can aid greatly in bulking up stool, it helps with either diarrhea or constipation so it's a win-win situation if you can tolerate enough fiber daily to bulk up your stool and it may even cut back some daily frequency if you have that issue as well (or are you only going once/day but always have diarrhea?) either way if you're not getting enough fiber in then you might want to slowly incorporate it in daily and see how that goes...just remember to increase your water intake as well and only increase your fiber very slowly if necessary.

You'd be surprised at how even just a bit daily can make a huge difference for some people in a positive way.
