I went to an Osteologist, which is like a very light or super easy going chiropractor but much more gentle and relaxing. Massage like with some flexing and light joint cracking. Anyway I went there to see if it would help offset the terrible Remicade pain and perhaps some IBD symptoms. It helped significantly. I would hobble in, yet walk out fine for many many hours before the pain returned.

It's been well over a year (probably 2+) since I have needed to go back. BUT what I notice now is I still do specific light stretches to crack my back at least twice a week. If I don't I don't feel comfortable. Much like there is pressure and uncomfortableness built up.

So to the point - what I noticed for me was that starting to "crack a joint" seems to have led a need or desire to do so from now on. Like once you start it's hard to stop. I wonder if after a certain point or amount of cracking something happens and pressure (air or fluid) starts to build up naturally. I've always been curious if others had a similar experience with "needing" to crack joints to feel comfortable after visiting a chiropractor.

Also.... how many people has an major intense urge to crack their knuckles upon reading that??? !! Ha... there seems to be some sort of psychological aspect to it much like yawning.
