I'm currently getting better from s flare, not 100% but defiantly getting better. I'm a HUGE sushi lover and was avoiding it for a while. What's everyone's take on eating sushi mid flare?

I think it can be done, especially if you do well with fish. Stick to simple rolls with no sauces or spicy stuff- avoid the deep fried rolls as well. I used to love seaweed salad but I only do that now when I'm feeling really confident. Enjoy and let us know how it goes!

the bacteria in in when I eat it, but I do love it!

You are your own best judge. Did it bother you before or did you just eliminate it out of fear?

It never bothered me before, I'm just not sure what I can and can't tolerate while in a flare. I've been through enough lately I really just want to treat myself!

fish and rice were great foods for me, and the ginger was helpful too. if never even considered that I could not eat all three of these in my favorite maki rolls or nigiri sushi.
spicy sauces or overly sweet could be a different matter, maybe the tempura - but it is very little batter.

I eat it pretty often. I love it but it does make me nervous sometimes...

Try it and see what happens. I eat it often, only with mild setback just the day after.

What exactly are you concerned about
? Raw, spices or seaweed, etc?

Sushi has always been a go to for me, even in the middle of a flare. I also just stay away from any of the fried rolls (tempura). Salmon sashimi seems to be very calming for me, and very good for me too.

As long as you're mostly healed, I think sushi would be fine. Raw meats and raw vegetables are harder for the gut to digest, and your gastrointestinal tract accelerates its speed when your flaring. So, I'd be a little cautious at first and try a little without going overboard. Enjoy!

I've only had one issue with sushi and it was after eating the kind you get from the grocery store a few days in a row. I have a feeling it was not the fish or rice so much as the additives they used. Generally I've enjoyed sushi mid flare and after with out problems.
