incredible, i was just about to write about a poop pill when i've read xy123 post :) I can't find an article i've read recently that there's one state where it is possible to get custom made poop pills for cdiff, for me it would seem the best solution. Maybe it would be a good idea to call the places which do ft and ask them about it? As far as I remember, such poop pills could be ordered in Oklahoma or Oregon (but i'm not sure)

well, i saw my gi today and we are doing my scope next wednesday. blahh. i so do not feel like prepping for this!!

he is keeping me on all my meds and adding singulair to the mix. i havent taken it since i was a kid so i'll try it and see what happens. he's doing research right now on eosinophilia and the relationship between allergies and ibd. he said my high eosinophil count is dropping my neutrophils and causing the neutropenia, so if i bring the eosinophil count down, the neutrophils will go back up and i will be able to fight infections better.

i told him i stopped the vanco and he didn't really seem to care. i guess he was satisfied that i did it for a week.

so at least my gut is not completely distended now. neuropathy is going away, too. he thinks i have built up a vancomycin resistance or something. who knows?

nssg, yes, keep an eye on that.

we were discussing entyvio today and he said the c diff risk is greater on entyvio than all the other biologics, so we want to avoid that if at all possible.

uchwhat, thanks for your kind words. honestly, i have been 100x sicker before so i am thankful it's not that bad- just trying to look at the bright side. this is kind of just a speed bump compared to the car crash flares i have!!!

my doctor is the head of the gi department at university of pittsburgh and he said nobody at the hospital is doing them yet. there isn't a protocol established. i hope its not a problem for me anymore after i get my neutropenia figured out.

hey dk, only way to know for sure is to get a stool test but even with that, it doesn't always show up.

my main reason i thought i had c diff was because of the insane watery diarrhea. it just started after my simponi shot and then when i took my other simponi shot, it just got worse. i also have a distinct kind of right side cramping and extreme bloating with c diff. my uc flares all cause extreme burning pain and i didnt have this at all.

I hope u feel better soon linda! I have my scope next week so im not gonna change meds unless i have to. Im doing fine symptom wise right now but really dont wanna take entyvio!
