I got diagnosed this year soon after I turned 18, I have noticed more peoplebeing diagnosed later like 25-35 range. Has anyone else been diagnosed in there teens like me?

i think i was 16 when i was diagnosed with mild proctitis. my doc never said ulcerative proctitis. anyway, i was diagnosed with left sided UC when i was 21.

I was 18 when symptoms started, 19 when diagnosed (am 35 now).

I was 38. I had no symptoms at all until about 6 weeks after I was on a strong antibiotic. I knew something was up since my maternal grandmother had CD. I was pretty aggressive about being seen from my first symptoms (minor urgency and bleeding).

Started at 32 immediately after birth of 2nd child and mega strong antibiotic course... Diagnosed exactly 2 years later.

I was 5 when diagnosed and had my ileostomy surgery when I was 10 years old - 38 years ago. Never ever regretted it! It gave me my life back!

I began to have symptoms shortly after having my son at 21 but was diagnosed at 22.

I was 29. Had just returned from a business trip from Tokyo, where I consumed many of the local dishes including raw whale and raw horse.
Thought for sure the internal bleeding was due to something I ate. How wrong I turned out to be.

I was 34 when diagnosed, had my first major flair a year after that. Since then have never been able to attain remission. Life is tough.

I think I was 26. Seems like there are a lot of people in that group between late teens and 30s. Maybe it's higher becasue we are on the computer a lot...

i think i was 31-32. Went into a nice remission for like 6 years. Went off all meds, forgot it even happened...then flared again with flares every 2-3 years.

My sister and I were both diagnosed at the same age, 27. She's 7 years older than me

I was misdiagnosed for many years before finally getting the proper diagnosis at 45.
I think many of us were told we had IBS or a stomach bug for quite awhile before being taken seriously and getting a colonoscopy with biopsy which is proof positive of UC.
