Imuran is dosed between 1.5 to 2.5 mgs for every kilogram of body weight. As an example, I weigh 150 pounds or 68 kilograms. So 68 kilograms times 1.5 mgs is a daily 102mgs dose of Imuran on the low end. 68 kilograms times 2.5 mgs is a daily 170mgs dose of Imuran on the high end.
The dose always starts way low, they watch your blood test results and then boost it to that range. Your gastroenterologist will tell you when to increase your dosage. It's important to start low to make sure you aren't getting bad liver reactions to Imuran (blood test picks it up, before any actual damage is done). Odds are low of it happening, but safety first
