Has anyone ever used them? Were they effective?

I just received my supply...it was a compound prescription.

I have not but my GI has mentioned that they are GREAT for procitits. I would like to try them but my proctitis seems ok right now - definitely next time it's in bad shape i am going for it. Let me know how you do.

Oh god. They kind of made me worse...a bunch of mucus this morning and lots of gas. Going to give it a few days.

Did you have a scope to see where it's active? If it's just the tiny bit at the way end, those should help. I would give it a while before thinking these symptoms are tied to the supps. It may just be a bad day and the supp has nothing to do with it. Results are rarely over night.

My first flare I took budesonide ORALLY and it helped my rectal/sigmoid inflammation tremendously, so I'm sure the supps would have been even better. Subsequent stints on them weren't as effective unfortunately.

eph: They were compounded at a pharmacy that my doc works with. His nurse called the script into them. It's legit, sterile, all of that.

notsosicklygirl: I had a flex sig in the start of May and it showed only distal, rectal inflammation. Either, my inflammation is suddenly getting worse or I'm having a reaction to the suppositories. I don't like either option. This is such a frustrating disease!

ummm ya those suppositoires did NOTHING for me they made me worse and i was so mad - everyones different but for me I'd never attempt those again ZERO effecitiveness

KV18: How did they make you worse? What were your symptoms? I have some shady stuff going on since I started them.
