I'm permanently on Asacol 1600mg twice a day, it really does seem to work well, which is why I don't really think it's UC causing this, however this problem has only happened since I was diagnosed.
It's hard to say if it's your UC or something else going on (becoming lactose intolerant, developing IBS etc) but maybe the Asacol just isn't doing it for you anymore so getting scoped (if you haven't recently) would be a good idea because maybe it's UC inflammation causing this issue for you and you need more, new or better meds then go from there.
