Little bit of D, lot of pain, need some advice

Looking for some advice.

I have been trying to get a flare under control for over 2 months now. First it started with some loose stools, bit of bloating and gas pains. Then the bleeding started, and more cramping/abdominal pain for longer periods (a few hours every day). Had about 1 BM per day.

Then the bloody & mucous morning diarrhea started followed by a normal blood streaked stool later in the day.

Maxed out my mesalamine meds (oral and rectal), went on a week of pred 50mg, and then tried Entocort 9mg daily. Changed diet to be blander and IBD friendly.

Things got better for a bit on the corticosteroids: cramping went away, fewer diarrhea mornings, more normal stools.

Then last weekend I started to get bloating and cramping and abdominal pain that would last the better part of a day (8-12 hours) most days. A bit of diarrhea every other day and a bit of bleeding. 1 or 2 BMs per day, mostly well formed. Cramping subsided for a few days last week. But this weekend it came back and is holding on. I need to take extra strength tylenol now to not go crazy from the pain. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being very painful) it's about a 2 or 3 without the Tylenol but it is relentless. Still feel uncomfortably bloated. Most of the time, however, gut doesn't feel tender to the touch.

GI has me booked for a sig scope in 2 weeks. Don't know if I can hold on or I should go to ER?

This sound normal to any of you? Isn't for me in the 12 years since I've been diagnosed. Possible side effects from Entocort?

Sounds like your uc flare is worsening rapidly. I would call your gastroenterologist and ask if he/she can see you sooner than 2 weeks. Be persistent and ask if they can fit you in should there be a cancellations.
