Strangely that's also my case, everytime i catch a cold my symptoms subside dramatically.
Interesting your symptoms got better with cold,
the other posts in this thread people with Colds actually got worse and relapsed.
I'm not sure if they took any medicine or not, but that could be at play. Doctors love to throw antibiotics at you
if you have a sore throat/bad cold. Don't do it.
Fyi, I'm still 99% better since the fever. I actually didn't know you can induce a fever - that was just an idea i had. Mine fever occurred naturally - i think it was possibly viral meningitis i had (this is the non fatal version of meningitis) which explains why it lasted so long. Had bad sore neck and scalp. A bit of topic, and it could have been something else - not that it matters - i think it was just the high temp that was the key. If you can induce a fever, I seriously am going to demand this whenever a flare-up reoccurs or maybe even in 1 month from now if I can't get the last 1% to heal up.
99% for me: No more growly stomach, upset stomach, blood splat all over the bowl - even the rim and back plate, no more explosive release, no more extreme urgency, no accidental pus/blood/gunk accidental release on taking a quick harmless fart, no more little chunks and unformed bm's, no more 3-6 bm's a day - down to 2 a day and sometimes just 1 even. I do have 100% bm's with zero blood even on the toilet paper, however I usually have some blood on the TP, and maybe a streak or drop in the bowl.Could sauna help ?
Did you ever get to test your current Faecal calprotectin ?
My GI guru always said Totally avoid NSAIDs and antibiotics, but if i absolutely have to use one of them then
Antibiotic : Tavanic 500mg [Levofloxacin] ONLY
Painkillers: Paracetamol, paramol, Adol ..etc non of the hardcore NSAID stuff
surprisingly my problems showed up after using Brexin for knee pain by like 6~8 monthsi doubt sauna would really raise your body temp much, plus it would only last 15 minutes while you were in there
Faecal calprotectin? never heard of that, i think that's just to determine which inflammatory disease you have (ibs vs chrons vs UC/etc)
