I apologize if I ever made you feel bad. I think it's great for people to try things and get a grasp on what helps them, so whatever you have to offer, I appreciate. I agree with what banana said, it's possible you had a bought of colitis and not the autoimmune condition Ulcerative Colitis and now you're cured. Especially if you were questioning a pathogen. In my case, I always thought I had a pathogen, for years, and after trying and trying EVERYTHING, literally everything i read about
, everything posted here, diets, supplements, probiotics, and finally tons of antibiotics, I concluded this has to be UC. Anything else would have been killed from the antibiotics (and yes, I had everything under the sun administered). Then prednisone, man, I was flying on prednisone. I KNEW I was better and it was going to last. It didn't. Tapered off, had a good year or two, and i was back to square one. So i hope i don't come off as a pessimist or pushy or like a know-it-all, because I am the first to admit i don't know much about
my own UC. I know most cases respond to certain things but I know mine responds to nothing. We are all different.
