Currently bleeding and going quite a bit in morning. Anyone know the best time to take this drug as anyone who has knows the side effects can be very bad at first? Thinking about starting at bedtime to ease the side effects. GI Doc has suggested cutting 50MG in half and starting with 25MG and then increasing. I weigh around 170 now so might just start with 50MG. Thoughts please? Thank you.

Prednisone 40MG tapering off and on the past month, but the lower seems to not help, LDN 4.5MG stopped working, VSL#3 not sure it does anything, taking several other supplements as most do but not sure they do a thing.

Take aza/Imuran just before bed with a snack, to reduce the odds of nausea. Some report it within the first few eeeks of starting it, but it goes away. I never experienced it, myself.

Great thank you. When I took it before(day time) the nausea & stomach discomfort was bad.

I like eating it with a big meal to reduce the side effects. But either way they will go away after a bit.
Imuran will take several weeks to work so you may need something to reduce inflammation in the meantime
Have you tried meaalamines
Enemas
I would suggest cortifoam if you weren't successful with other enemas

why take it before bed?

I've been on it close to three months now and have always taken it in the morning with food and my asacol.

I think people like to take it before bed so if they get side effects they will sleep thru them

I took it before bed when starting out but after a while (several weeks) I found I can take it whenever
