Genital ulcers?

Alright, time for an awkward question.
I've had symptoms of UC for the past two years and was on prednisone practically that whole time. This past summer I had a total colectomy and ileostomy and have been off prednisone a little over a month now (WOOHOO!!)
Every time (before surgery) I attempted at coming down on the prednisone, I would have major flare ups accompanied by mouth and genital ulcers...
I am currently on a medication (I've forgotten the name) to help with the mouth but I'm not sure if it helps with both situations or not..
Coming off the prednisone after surgery, I had a few mouth sores but the medication helped, and no genital.
about a day ago I've noticed a painful, annoying red bump (slightly black). Could this be an ingrown hair...? Has anyone else dealt with this??
I'm very worried this is an effect of being off the preenisone even though I've been off ~5 weeks now...

Before the ulcers were only one at a time, but painful and opened (worse than this is so far)

we had a poster who had mentioned having this along with UC and I believe it's really difficult to find OBGYNs who are knowledgeable in the area.

Have you not seen your gynecologist about this?

I have seen my gynecologist a few times when this has happened Before The surgery but they new nothing about it, just put me on more steroids... This is the first time it's happened in ~6 months. I've been completely off the steroids for a month now and I DO NOT want to get put back on them..
And I'm not sure if it's from coming off the prednisone, a really bad ingrown hair, or even Behçet's disease which causes ulcers. I had my suspicions in the past abut behcets before I was diagnosed with UC and now those suspicions are returning..

The mouth and genital ulcers of Behçet's syndrome are generally painful and tend to recur in crops, whereas with Lichen Sclerosus the ulcers can present themselves individually. Some people with Lichen Sclerosus will often have Oral lichen Planus, which are ulcers in the mouth, these can flare up at the same time as Lichen Sclerosus, especially in times of stress or illness, I have both, and have found that to be the case.

Like the past times this has happened, it has gotten worse and now resembles a dark, opened ulcer. I've noticed "white" areas around or near the ulcer. You said earlier lichen sclerosis can cause white patches.. So could this definitely be an option for what is going on..? I've gotten them in the past, like I said before, usually coming off/getting to a low dose of prednisone.
Do you know what typically causes lichen sclerosis and how it's treated/cured?

It is thought Lichen Sclerosus is another autoimmune disease. Not wanting to get too personal, but if you have found sexual intercourse to be uncomfortable or even painful, then it is likely to be Lichen Sclerosus. Another clue is the "white" patches, which incidentally should clear up with the right treatment, which is Clobetasol cream, and is a topical corticosteroid, it works by decreasing certain immune responses, which reduces redness and itching of skin.. The only way you are going to know for sure is by having a biopsy, although some experienced doctors at a vulva clinic should be able to give you a visual diagnosis, which is why it's better to find someone who recognizes LS.

I am positive this is the same thing that I've gotten in the past.
Called my doctor today but they never called back...
A second one has appeared so now I am getting very impatient and angry.
A while back when this happened I was tested for herpes and it came out negative.
ONe of the gynecologists I saw said it was an "acute ulcer" and all they did was up my prednisone dose. Hoping the doctor will call back in the morning and figure all this out, ugh 😡

I had an outbreak of plantar warts on my feet as well...

Several years ago I had plantar warts that a doctor would repeatedly remove but they always grew back. I started eating garlic pills and, coincidentally or not, those warts never returned even though I stopped garlic pills years ago.

Now I see that the internet is full of articles about how garlic targets and is effective against warts.
