so you don't trust scales?
also, I saw you said you were in remission for 6 months, is that really even remission? Did your doctor tell you that or were you just kind of symptom free and figured you were in remission?
I ask that because I had a period of about two months this summer where I wasn't on pred, just asacol and imuran, where I felt great and was virtually symptom free. I thought I was in remission. But, I flared up in the beginning of September, had a flex sig and my doc told me that even though I felt great for that period of time, the colitis had never disappeared and was still present and active. It sounded like he was saying if you are relatively symptom free for awhile, you are not necessarily in remission.
It got my height wrong by seven inches. Scales can be unreliable sometimes.
Hmm, well I just assume it was remission then. I likely would have stayed in it too had I not forgotten to take my medication those times. How often/much of your medicine did you miss? And which medications?
I've heard that if you miss a dose here and there it isn't the end of the world. Obviously you should try not to miss any doses but hey, sometimes it happens.
Also, from my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong anyone, is that with Imuran it takes awhile to build up in your body so I would kind of think missing a dose wouldn't be as bad as maybe missing something like Asacol which is a topical and possibly needed every day to cover the inflammation. It seems like maybe missing an imuran dose wouldn't effect you until weeks later and the imuran you took weeks ago is what is keeping you good currently. I don't know though.
