Hey can anyone who participated in the MULTISTEM program give us an update? I am really curious about the results. Did the drug improve your life? If so how? What notable differences did you observe before and after the trails? Multistem is such an interesting option i would love to know more.

Phase II results of the UC trial come out in April-May. Keep your fingers crossed.

I was in the study for multi-stem, and I had life changing (for the better) results. Everyone that was at my testing location had the same excellent results. Except for a person who took antibiotics and it reversed his progress. I don't get this report.?.

I could be wrong, but werent the results of the study "disappointing"? Its too bad, because I had high hopes for this treatment.

Are you still getting the drug as part of an extension study or has the study been terminated?

@ The Seeker. Thanks for sharing. can you elaborate on your history and these life changing results? don't want to get hopes up if it doesn't apply to others.

Well that would equal failure in a placebo controlled study. Everyone can't have great results if the drug is going to be a lot better than the placebo.

I am starting to think that a lot of the talk on the internet corresponds to Athersys' pushes to raise venture capital.

I remember reading Multistem results too, I believe on this site, that were less than stellar to say the least. I was upset because the two main stem cell drugs, Prochymal and Multistem both seemed to be abject failures.

What a bunch of garbage posting this 2 - 3 months later. If it was lifechanging we would have known about it. The world would have, this is just a stock person lying about it to increase PPS. Really sad... Anything, ANYTHING for money...

The Multistem worked great for me, for a few years. They are adult stem cells with a life span. The last few months my colitis has been getting bad again.
I don't believe the study results, I lived the results.
Now, they are testing it on stroke victims, that's a bigger target market.
If anyone knows how to get Multistem or other stem cell treatments, please leave me a message.

The stroke trial also failed to produce significant results statistically. As far as the UC trial goes it seemed like a bad setup. I believe it was only subjects that had pretty much failed to get results from other drugs (strike 1) and only a couple of doses? (strike 2)
