My health insurance doesn't cover name brand so I'm forced into getting the off brand enema. I'm sure some of you have experience with this enema so a question I have is this, with my last prescription the enema was a thick liquid with a sorta thick plastic bottle and this time it's exactly the same looking yet the liquid is much more runny and the bottle is much easier to squeeze. Did anyone else notice this? Also, any idea on how effective this brand is vs rowasa? And how to get rowasa covered if possible?

At my pharmacy I get the perrigo with the thick bottle like you are describing, and while I was in the hospital I had the same brand but a different bottle, easier to crumple up. One didn't work better than the other, just different bottles. You could probably request name brand rowasa but your insurance probably won't cover it.

There are different brands/manufacturers and they all have the same medication in them. I had generic rowasa (labeled meslamine rectal suspension kit) with easy to squeeze bottles with blue caps. The perrigo are much harder to squeeze and have green caps. No real difference in effectiveness that I can ascertain.
