Starting remicade after being on Humira for 2 years.

So I recently moved to a new city and got in contact with a new doctor. My Humira which I've taken now for 2 years doesn't seem to have an effect anymore, I had a small remission for 1 year for 2 years ago until I had to remove my thyroid form hyperthyroidism, and after that all hell broke loose. I haven't really had much blood coming from my colon in the past but after the surgery I had extremely much blood and had to start predisolone again... So now I'm going to start with remicade before my last option, operation or maybe simponi..

Has anyone had experience with both humira and remicade? Did you notice a different when using remicade?

with remicade I would advise taking imuran or 6mp if possible
it both helps UC and it also helps prevent antibodies against remicade (because mouse protein)
also when you take it premedication with steroids can help prevent antibodies

If you've failed humira then your options are the following biologics: remicade (via IV), simponi (self-injection like humira), or entvyio (via IV).

Yeah remicade was much better than humira for me. I got c diff from humira after the first day of shots. Never took it again. I only lasted maybe five months on remicade before it stopped working but I had a great infusion nurse and the side effects were manageable.
