Hemorrhoids

My colitis symptoms tend to be more straining than anything actually coming out and I've recently developed hemorrhoids. It's one of the worse pains I've ever felt, any symptom relief other than cream or ice? I can't move or walk without excruciating pain, they're external.

Lay in the bath on your back with your legs elevated/resting on the side of the bath. Warm to luke warm water and some Epsom Salt (I stole whatever my wife had). Try and do it a couple times a day.

I had severe ones in the past, about the size of a grape. I went to a general surgeon and in his office he would numb the hemorrhoid (not the fun part) then make two tiny tiny incisions in the hemorrhoid and squeeze the clot out. What was left was just an empty shell of skin which my body eventually absorbed and was gone. It was instant relief aside from the minor pain from the actual procedure. By the next day I was light years better and the day after that, virtually no pain at all

Yeah prescription did the job for me, i was getting them on and off for a while then bam one weekend i couldn't move without pain, tried over the counter cream\suppositries to no avail, called into the Doc's on the monday, he prescribed stronger cream and suppositries, medicine you need a prescription for. took about a day but eventually it went down\burst. Couldn't believe the relief, worst thing was that was the first 3 days of my week off from work. I took a stool softener liquid after for a week or so, just in case.
