imagardener2, I have a high metabolism and have been thin all my life, thus loosing 1.5 stones terrified me, thus figure out how to mass on. I shall certainly look into pea protein.I'm sure you know best but my experience is that protein does not add weight, carbs and healthy oils would do that. The good part about
healthy oils (coconut, olive) is that they are anti-inflammatory. Don't take too much at one time because they can cause BM's. Slip coconut oil and coconut milk into smoothies and cook with healthy oils as much as possible.
Resistant starch can also be very good (as mentioned before) healing the colon and helping you gain weight back. I loooove potato salad with mayo (which is nothing more than egg and oil).
Pasta could help you add weight too. I can't eat it (and don't need to add weight) but that's something for you to eat. So many delicious pasta recipes. If you decide to go non-gluten try out the quinoa pastas available. I make large batches of quinoa pasta, meat and white sauce with cheese and freeze in small containers to pull out for dinner.
I never gained any weight on a low-carb, high protein diet and it's hard to gain weight while flaring.
Good luck.
PS I LOVE curry and so does my gut. The spices and veggies are so gut friendly for me along with coconut milk and oil. But I like to cook it at home not trusting restaurant ingredients (black pepper hated by gut).
