Canasa working on and off?

Hey guys, I was recently diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis. My GI Doctor currently has me on 4x Delzicol 400mg per day and Canasa 1000mg suppositories every night. I'm on day 15 out of 45 (6 weeks of medication) and noticed that the medication is definitely alleviated my symptoms but occasionally I'll see a little blood here and there after a few days without seeing any blood. Is it normal for Canasa to work on and off like this? Hoping for the best and definitely want to push this into remission asap

Healing is anything but linear, always day-to-day improvement. There will be good days and bad days. Keep up with your prescribed medications. You should have a follow-up with your doctor who'll make sure you're heading in the right direction. If you start continuously backsliding/regressing and it doesn't improve then call your gastroenterologist asap. Good luck!

Canasa unfortunately made things worse for me. I had a similar experience with rowasa. I'm a cort enema and suppository fan. I see way better and faster improvement. They also seem easier to keep in!
