So watch out! ;)
2015 has been quite the hellacious year for me - did a full header down the basement stairs which resulted in fissured cartilage in my knees (3 days before my bday no less!) Fell into a woodpile (long story), tripped over my black lab in the dark - sprained foot, fell onto a boat railing and cracked my 6th rib in 2 places - I am guessing I'm just clumsy lol
Then just 6 days ago I had the DCR surgery. This is a surgery to create an alternate tear duct due to a 100% blockage in my right Lacrimal sac and so I've got quite the major shiner going on :( I have tubes in my upper tear duct down to my lower which I have to keep in for 3 months.
But the best part of 2015? My UC is in a full quiescent remission. Quiescent = dormant. :)

I'm getting Sherry a goalie's helmet and padding for xmas, as we'd be totally lost here without her. Welcome back, and here's to a much better 2016 to you and also all of the posters here who are struggling with uc symptoms

Thank you :) And iPoop, no need for a helmet and padding. I have my very own bubble wrap dress...no lie! Lol

Welcome back. My mom got very clumsy, and it turned out it was early stages of Parkinson's. Worth at least discussing with GP.

Welcome back....good to hear you had your duct surgery has been done. Hope the shiner fades quickly.
Clumsiness...which I've fallen/slipped, etc down stairs more than a few times (I call it body-shaping by Heather)...is really a lack of paying attention and making the task of going up and down a conscious thing while not being happy, singing, laughing, talking, looking around, etc.
Take good care over the festive season!

I fell down the stairs once while brushing my teeth. I used to roam around the house while brushing. No more.

Really! I've never met anyone else who does that. I guess you've never fallen down the stairs...?

Haha no on falling down stairs. My wife wanders too (she picked that habit up from me). We where staying with her parents once for the holidays and they looked at us like we are totally weird lol. I think they're used to it now.

I'm pretty sure it's not Parkinson's. Stairs - sneaker caught on a stair tread, wood pile - tripped over a log in the dark same with the dog, boat railing - dock was too high and because of my bad knees, they couldn't support me as I tried to get out of the boat.
Falling downstairs with a toothbrush?! I hope you weren't seriously injured??
But thanks guys. It feels good to back up to par :)

as well as a small step stool and than the corner of the vanity that I have broken my poor little toe on (it was in middle of the night and i miscalculated where I was walking and bam)

I guess the step stool can count as a speed bump then :)

I haven't fallen, thank goodness, but with my peripheral neuropathy I have to think any time I'm walking. "Heel-toe, heel-toe." I don't always know exactly how my feet are going to come down, so I have to concentrate. I think my friends love it, now they get a chance to talk for a while!

When I fell brushing my teeth I twisted my ankle, but did not do any damage with the toothbrush so it could have been far worse! The furthest I go now is over to the pc, on the same level as my bathroom, so no more stairs.

It could've been a lot worse! The mother in me cringes just thinking about
wandering with a toothbrush.

Sure happy to hear nothing serious happened...like Sherry, I actually think of that when I go downstairs with the toothbrush...but in my hand, lol.
