I used to do fun OT posts in the past because it gave us a sense who we are as an individual. To let us learn that there is an actual person behind the screen name.

When you joined HW obviously you had to pick a screen name. Why did you choose it? What is the meaning behind it?

Mine is so unoriginal. Red_34 - Red because I have red hair (yes brown eyes and freckles to boot lol) and when I joined I was 34 (now 45).

Mine is pretty darn obvious. And lame.

PS - I just noticed you have 22,892 posts. That works out to 5.7016 posts per day or .237 posts per hour every day for 11 years !! Roughly 30 minutes a day spent typing/reading on this site if you allow for ~5 mins per post for reading & typing time...

Well I am a hobby gardener and had an email address with that name so used it.
Gardening is calming and gets me outdoors away from computer and is a healthy activity, physically and mentally. Thank heavens I don't have to depend on what I grow for daily food, that would be a full-time job and put a lot more pressure on me esp. since I don't use chemicals to kill bugs.

I grow mulberries, Meyer lemons, oranges, green beans, collards, many herbs (added dill to potato salad tonight and it was soooo good). My newest fave is hibiscus sabdariffa which makes great cold tea and lowers high blood pressure (which I don't have). I also grow antique roses and butterfly plants. My growing season in Florida is October to June so I'm always opposite northern gardeners.

I picked bananagirl because I was a vegan and ate a lot of bananas.

I wanna change it to bacongirl because i eat a lot of bacon now but I don't know how.

Mine was originally SicklyGirl because I thought i was sickly when I joined. Little did i know, that was the least sickly i would be for many years to follow. Regardless, some of the users convinced me that I would be physically better if I went by something less negative so I switched to notsosicklygirl. I don't think they were right because things headed in a bad direction regardless.

Now that I had surgery, i might have to switch again. Hopefully I can figure out how to. I think it's in My Profile, then Edit Profile.

Lol yes C Mark....I've been here for a long time ;) But I don't post every day. I go in spurts because life gets a hold of me. But to be honest, when I found HW in the beginning I was on here every single day trying to connect to people like me and understand what I've been going thru. Btw, when I found HW I was already an 11 year old UC vet.

I wanted to use jujub, which is a long-time nickname for me, but it was taken. I went with just my real name, Judy, then added a number. I've thought of changing it, but since I'm not here so much now it would be confusing and take time for people to figure out who I am.

Anybody can change their healing well display name at any time, it's easy: Go to My Profile, Edit Profile, and then you'll see Display Name field with whatever you currently have entered now. Display Name is an editable field, just as your signatures are. It has to be unique, that's the only limit. Have fun!

I'm iPoop, first as a jab at Apple computer's brandnaming, and second because when I joined, all I ever did was poop, like constantly, it was always on my mind; thanks uc. Not that you all would know what that's like lol. And I'm always quick with a joke to lighten the mood, so, it seemed quite fitting.

Oh, I love gardening. My whole yard is slowly turning into a big flower/vegetable garden. Of course, it's all a big brown pile of leaves now, even had some snow the other day. Yay northern new england!

Ipoop is it wrong for this Michigander to be jealous of your snow? lol I want snow for Christmas...all we have is mud. Our average temp for this time of year is 32...today it's gonna be 60.

It has always fascinated me why people choose the screen names they chose. But please! If you change your screen name, let us know who you are lol We've had members in the past that would change their names and it's confusing :)

Oh lord, yes, that's funny. My state is on the Canadian border, as well. I said I had some snow a few days ago, it was a dusting, but it was just brief thing that quickly melted. On an average year, we have a 75 percent chance of a white xmas. It's just brown and ugly this year, it's pretty darn weird here this xmas. Today and tomorrow it's supposed to be in the mid 60 degrees range. I'm taking my converible out, dropping the top and wearing shorts to xmas dinner, go figure, right?

If you Canadians north of me have snow, please share. I've got dusty xcountry skis, snowshoes, and microspikes that I'm very, very eager to use....

My first screen name was just my initials with the year I joined. How boring. I decided to change it to something more meaningful. What was I after in life? Peace, serenity... Well "serenity" was taken so tried to think of a more interesting variation than just adding a number after it. Finally it came to me - my favourite Seinfeld episode! Perfect. So I am Serenity Now which works on two levels.

Mine is named after my son. He was born at 32 weeks and 4lbs, 4oz. He needed no assistance and was only in NICU for observation overnight. I didn't know at the time that I only had 1/2 a uterus and only 1 fallopian tube, so getting pregnant and staying pregnant were miracles in themselves. Hense my son is my little miracle. (not so little anymore, 12 yrs old and 89lbs).

HA! YOU ARE BUSTED STUD!!! NOW i'm sure you're him Youshipped. But you are behaving very nicely I must say, in a relative way that is.

I'm zengrrl because that has been my big spiritual quest for over 16 years now, to the point of living in a Japanese monastery for nearly 3 years. So I get kinda feisty when people say UC is "all in your head" or "brought on by stress".... or that meditation can cure it.

i also figured you out Stud :) My nickname is just as original as that of Canada Mark :) My real name is Ewelina (pronounced - Evelina) and i'm planning to update my profile after the New Year because I'm no longer 24, actually I'll turn 27 in February.
