IBD with no diarrhea or constipation ?

Is it possible to have an IBD but be regular? No diarrhea or constipation?

I've got ulcerative colitis, a type of ibd, and exhibit zero symptoms. It's called remission. I have one formed bm a day without diarrhea or constipation. No signs of active disease, even at a biopsy microscopic level.

colitis or ulcerative colitis? You need to give us a bit more info.
Have you had a colonoscopy, with biopsies?
Do you have a copy of the biopsies pathology report?

I have colitis. Went to the ER and was diagnosed from a ct scan. I have a colonoscopy scheduled to determine if I have Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis, as suggested by the doctor.

Must be a very mild case of UC and yes it's possible but since all here tend to be either moderate to severe, hearing from a mild case would sound too good to be true but IBD is a nasty and sneaky disease that can still cause damage be it mild to severe cases...keep in mind, flares vary for each of us as well so being a mild case isn't unheard of by any means but that doesn't mean that all your flares will necessarily be mild in the future.

Yes - I was diagnosed a couple months ago after continuous bleeding for over a month. The only other symptom I had was body aches. Colonoscopy found moderate active chronic colitis in the rectum - so ulcerative proctitis is now my official diagnosis. Prednisone cleared up my first flare but I am now in the middle of another bleeding flare that started 2 weeks ago.
Blood as your only symptom doesn't necessarily mean it's minor, just that's it most likely limited to the rectum. From my understanding the diarrhea hits when it moves farther up the colon. Unfortunately it seems proctitis can be awfully stubborn to treat so if that is what you have I hope you can get it in remission quickly! Good luck!
