I've been doing the diet since the day I was diagnosed which was hmmmm 3.5 years ago now ish? I agree with a bunch of the other posts here and will say the diet alone may work for 1 in a trillion to get to remission but for me the diet AND medication helped huge. I've never not done the diet, so I can't say what i'd be like not doing it- but I do believe i would be WAY worse off if I didn't do the diet, the science makes sense, "you are what you eat!" Even now after being on the diet STRICT as hell when I have a cheat moment and have a sweet potatoe or something I notice a change in gas levels.
I would recommend to stick fully to the diet at least till your in remission... now im going to do some version of SCD for the rest of my life, since I'm one of those paranoid people that Im scared of getting worse etc. so I will do anything and everything possible to try not get worse... I'm insanley thankful for this diet and vitamains being out there... I wish you the BEST - try the diet and STICK with it... it makes sense...even if you dont notice results right away.. or if you don't notice anything, you are what you eat.... its not going to make you worse you're putting REAL food in your body
