Hi everyone, thank you for the insights and replies
I have looked into the salafalk and have continually been trying to investigate this further for kidney effects but seem to be finding nothing? Have had pelvic MRI / CT - renal / kidney ultra sound and nothing found? My bloods in re: to kidney function are continually coming up in normal range and i work in a blood bank so i do them even more religiously than on request from my doctor. My GI dumped me as i was becoming to hard :-( So now i am back to another GI that is local but the wait time is just stupid.
My GP has referred me to a urologist today and i have an appointment in March as that is the soonest i can get in, but still it is something. I take cranberry sups daily and at high doses and follow all the right hygiene. Yes my netrophils are down so this leaves me as a sitting duck for infections however this has been happening way before my netrophils started to become impaired. It is worse than my UC as the pain is continual and i have nothing to treat it as i am still struggling to find what is happening. I have urine strip tests and i test my urine daily just to see what is happening and record it. Lately i have noticed the highest reading on this for glucose and key tones and i also mentioned my urine smelling very sweet also. I am having blood tests to further investigate diabetes also.
Ahhhhhh, BE GONE !!
Hi Indigo,
First and foremost, I am very sorry to hear about
the state of your condition. Unfortunately, our bodies at times do not work as they were designed. I see many patients struggling for answers and it is frustrating for me as well. Especially because I have had numerous health issues myself. Medicine is not a perfect science and many questions are left unanswered. To go back to your post, you should not be seeing glucose and ketones in your urine. This indicates that your body is not taking glucose into the cells (lack of insulin, aka diabetes).
Take Care,
Josh
