Hi all, can anyone suggest lunches which don't cause bloating. I know this varies from person to person but all ideas are welcome as I am going through a big trial and error/food diary procedure and lunch is the meal which causes me so much bother all afternoon aghhhh……………..

I can't eat anything with gluten or I bloat, so no pasta, bread, crackers etc. Also anything sugar free that uses splenda causes bloat.

I couldn't eat if i were flaring and in the office. Anything and everything made me bloated, uncomfortable and running to the toilet. If I was at home, I would eat PBJ a lot. I think that worked for me because it's actually not a lot of food. Smaller quantity is always good.

I eat a slice of swiss cheese or french fries most days, variety comes at dinnertime ha. Bloating for me would be caused by dairy, fruit and sugary drinks. No wheat products for me (bread, pasta, crackers), they didn't cause bloating but lots of other gut problems that turned ugly.

When I'm having issues i take a light lunch (I'm At work) which I find leads to less gut activity (I.e., less pooping at work).examples of my light lunches:
Soup (I make at home with homemade bone broth)
Tuna and crackers
Half a sandwich (leftover roasted meat, no sauce/cheese etc)
Plain white rich with a bit of roasted meat
Oatmeal

While this is true, nobody likes the stinky lunch girl in the office :)
Homemade chicken soup never gave me any problems.

Well I found resistant starch helpful so I would actually suggest cold mashed potatoes, cold pasta concoctions, things like that. Maybe along with a small piece of roast chicken or something like that or a plant-based protein if you don't want meat.

White rice, sweet potato and chicken breast is a pretty standard meal one could try. Tried that for a few weeks but symptoms did not change at all.

I found that going on the White diet works in small portions, eg, white bread,rice,pasta etc work well stay off of anything that's brown too much fiber harder to pass. I eat a lot of cod, haddock, with rice or mashed potatoes. Try making a dairy free mash, boil potatoes, drain add s&p then one or two raw eggs. When mashed the eggs enrich and cook in the hot potatoes and you get the best mashed and dairy free to boot. If you then put in a hot oven and cover they puff up and are totally delicious ooooh just made myself hungry lol good luck!

At the moment it's cold chicken or salmon with avocado, cucumber and celery with sprinkle of lemon and pink Himalayan salt. Or a chicken broth.

There's chicken in a can. You can mix that with mayo and put it on crackers (mostly to avoid bread if that's what's made you feel bloated in the past). Or grapes, those always seem good for me.
