Lower left quadrant pain?

I woke up this morning in a lot of pain on my left side. My GI just fit me in and it really hurt when he pressed on my lower left quadrant but it was tender all over my abdomen to touch. He's sending me for a CT. He wouldn't speculate about what could be going on. I really don't like the unknown. Any thoughts on what it could be? Thanks!!

when i was flaring i had SEVERE left lower quad pain that I fell over on the ground... it built up over few months but i ignored it and it just got worse

did your pain come out of nowhere?

I had the same awful pain on my left side down to my groin so bad my hubby called 911
Was given morphine for the pain and then went for a CT scan
To my surprize I now have have Diverticulitis in addition to UC !
I don't eat nuts and things with seeds already so I'll have to watch it !

It sounds like tenderness that would be part of a flare to me. I've also experienced that and, like eastafrocdn, I ignored it and it got worse before getting better. You're doing the right thing with the doctor I think. It's hard not to worry but remember that worries don't help anything or improve outcomes :-).
