Hi Quincy , thanks again for the advise . My last colonoscopy in Feb 2014 said the inflammation was in the rectum and the distal descending colon . the transverse colon and above were normal and the involvement was patchy as the sigmoid colon was fine , this could be because I had been using some enemas on and off , that's my guess . There were also some discreet illeal ulcers which the doc said was a common feature , whatever that meant . So I guess I had left sided colitis when last scoped . I haven't added any steroid enemas , just bumped up the nightly rowasa generic enemas to twice a day as I thought they would reach further up than the suppositories and stop the symptoms better .
My current meds are liada 3.6 GMs a day , rowasa generic enema nightly , lots of curcumin which is available in abundance in India and also used in all our food , vsl 3 twice a day and l glutamine
