Has anyone ever used the cortisone enemas and suppositories at the same time?

Also, is it a good idea or bad idea to do that?

Yes, you can use canasa and an enema within a 24 hour timeperiod. However, I would recommend separating their administration by around 12 hours or so (for example, take one in the morning and the other at night).

If you take both at the same time, it might be very difficult/uncomfortable to retain. You'd have the enema fluid sloshing around (which is uncomfortable by itself) and a suppository surfing/sailing around down there as well (just multiplying the discomfort exponentially).

I wouldn't recommend doing both at once. Have you asked your doc about this? My GI once told me that too much steroid rectally and for possibly long term can thin the anal walls. However, spreading the administration out like the enema at night and the supp in the morning is okay as long as it's not long term.
