Sounds like it is another problem.
I'm just getting better within the past month after being sick to various degrees for the last year and a half. During that time I continued to lift but was never getting bigger or gaining weight. I would always hit the same plateaus, become too sick to do much, then lower the weight by a lot and work back up. It was a constant up and down battle but I continued to workout whenever possible to try to maintain some sort of strength/physical fitness.
Since I've been feeling better the past month, I have started to gain weight and can tell I'm getting bigger and stronger. I'm getting very close to those plateaus that I would always hit a wall at and feel like I will have no problem blowing right past them now that I'm better.
