Asacol is exactly what I've been given today. I'm in New Zealand.

The 400mg Asacol pills are no longer available from pharmacies within the usa. The 800 mg Asacol hd pills are, although there's no longer a patient copay assistance card available to help you with it's cost (a consideration based on what you pay out-of-pocket). Some alternatives are Delzicol, Apriso, Pentasa, and Lialda all of which have current copay assistance programs.

Delzicol IS Asacol inserted in a gel cap. Remove the gel cap and voila !

Asacol 400mg patent expired in USA so they changed name to Delzicol and put it in capsule. Delzicol is asacol in capsule. Asacol might be still available in other countries.
