I don't have formal copies of colonoscopy, but I was in the surgeon's office when he showed me pictures, and really took me on a photographic tour of my colon. He was able to reach just past the ilium, and said everything looked good except for that section just above the sigmoid. Nothing lower. Both he and my GI say this is an uncommon place for UC to start, although not unheard of. This is why he did MRI.
