Any tips for suprep and colonoscopy?

Hey,

I'm not sure if I have U.C. but I do have a lot of stomach issues along with lyme and candida, etc.

Anyway I have a colonoscopy scheduled this week. Anyone have any tips for taking suprep?

I'm a little nervous as my stomach is messed up, I'm underweight, I feel like half a dose would make my stomach empty but I undestand not to skimp on it so the colonoscopy and endoscopy is clear.

I just hope my body can take all this stuff. I also had an endoscopy by a different doctor a few months ago which ended up with me having blood come out for up to an hour after the procedure I hope that doesn't mean I have a weak colon and can handle this procedure.

I also have a small hear murmur apparently (maybe related to lyme) but I told the doctor that and said the anesthesia shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway, any advice is appreciated.

deltaforce is right, propofol is fantastic! I've been under two times now both times they used propofol and it works really well.

I try to make my suprep as cold as it's allowed via cool water. I also keep something I'm allowed to eat/drink near by so that, between drinks, I can remove the taste out of my mouth. As deltaforce noted, some people do get nauseous if they drink it to fast. For me it's the reverse (because of how I perceive the flavor). Don't get me wrong, it's not gross, but it's medicine.

Thanks. I'm gonna get some gatorade and hard candies to help with electrolytes and the taste. I'll try to find some ginger candies too.

No red or purple of course...

Ended up getting honey and ginger candies, I figure that may help with the taste and their light colors at least.
