Protein for Smoothies

For those that make morning smoothies, what kind of protein are you adding to them that is easy on the gut?

i use whey protein and i've found quite a few brands that don't have a bunch of crap added into them. bodylogix is what i mainly use. i also enjoy vitacost brand pea protein.

Indycat23- Is there anyway I can get ahold of you via email or any form of social media. I have ulcerative colitis and need deprecate advise about infusions. Diagnosed 5 years ago and now its back worse then ever! Really need some help right now

i use sunwarrior also. vega brand is really good too--they have a nutritional shake (lots of stuff in there, read it all to make sure you can handle all of it. it does have greens which is why i liked it but then they added maca which gave me really bad acne) and a performance shake that is more simple, just protein

Garden of Life - Raw Meal.... It's organic, no artificial sweeteners, no soy allergens, no preservatives, contains vegetables, raw food and protein. The best all around protein. meal replacement on the market in my opinion.

My whole family had food poisoning a couple months ago (we think from some greens we ate). It didn't help my UC that's for sure. The vegan protein sounds good but I can't imagine salmonella on top of UC (noticed in juststuds link).

I followed that food poisoning event up with a kidney stone which I'm attributing to a bit too much protein in my diet. I've since stopped taking whey protein (which I would take every few days in a smoothie). I believe UC gives us a higher risk of kidney stones, combine that with too much protein and not enough water (either not drinking enough or not retaining enough due to diarrhea) ......just be careful. The meds they gave me for the kidney stone also made me violently sick, which also didn't help my UC.
