We have discussed this in the past, but here is what they think is going on in the colon with UC,and PC.
archiv.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/volltextserver/17807/1/DDI2012030S03085.pdfOne question I have with the PC Medicus product, is they say it is coated with shellac, do they really
mean shellac or do they mean the proper enteric coated PC that releases in the ileum.
Eudragit S100 is the correct coating, from the clinical trials.
Another way around this is possibly inhibition of phospholipase by, Ginkgo, or Genistein.
but then again genistein may promote UC

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19894024then we have elevated phospholipase in UC- the connection is quite interesting
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10463466www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1644331phospholipase of course destroys PC
