Thanks London that is good info. The doc did say she has seen one case of c diffi that came up negative but really was c diff. I wish he was still on vanco, flagyl works sometimes.
I will tell him to monitor his smell.
Mark: He took amox for ear infections after he had flu about
6 weeks ago.
I know I know, c diff associated with amox.
They must believe in this the DNA amplification test, since they put his room off of quarantine.
He was under extreme stress running two restaurants, but this is crazy.
What may be making things worse is hypoxia from altitude he is at 6000 feet but he should be acclimated. But now anemic, doc says anemia of chronic disease, but he has only had it for 6 weeks,
the body sequesters iron, low on iron and albumin, I think he is leaking lots of albumin.
Needs to be able to retain food, but real quick transit time not absorbing.
You would think stool culture would turn something up.
Pathology report perhaps tomorrow.
So membranes from c diff, or possible salmonella.
Or such bad UC, causing membranes which I cant find info on.
