Did anyone here is polycystic with hirsutism? Did your hirsutism goes away ...im experiencing it now and I only want to know what happen nxt to me with hirsutism...please help me

Im 29 y.old...and have polycystic ovaries...im taking hormonal pills and metformin...my question is I have hirsutism...excess hair in my face...Is anyone here have experiencing it...and did hirsutism goes away with its own or hirsutism stay as we go old age?

Hi Yumi, I see you've been asking this question on many of the healingwell forums. I'll give you the same answer as you got there, dexamethasone is a steroid and steroids cause extra hair growth. Steroids cause hormonal changes and acne and extra hair are often a consequence. They should go away a few months after discontinuing the steroid. If not, see your doctor.

ipoop...my last intake of dexamethasone is october 2015...6months from now...and after taking that there are facial hair growth appeared...my endocrinologist say that 2 weeks for taking dexa is a short period for me to have a facial hairgrowth..maybe I am a polycysti my doctor said...so he gave me some lab test...my blood sugar..createnin...thyroid...and all is normal..bu when i take a trans.v. procedure its appears im ovarian polycystic...have you any idea of this...does this kind of hirsutism go away...or stay as I live? Sorry for my english...not fluent...thank you...pls reply

I was on prednisone for two years following my dx of ulcerative colitis. I got increased facial hair from it. Unfortunately it has never gone away. It's not super sever and I'm diligent about
keeping it all plucked out. Maybe others have better success with it going away but then I was was on it for a very long time. Terrible GI doc, but didn't know a thing at the time about
treatment so I was clueless. Sad part is it never helped my symptoms one bit and I never achieved remission. :(
