I would love your input on my situation. Last month, (April 3-5), I came down with the stomach bug my kids brought home and my colon hasn't been the same since. I went to see my doctor on Monday and he said he sees mild redness but nothing too bad. He suggested that I keep my Lialda at 2 a day and use rowasa twice a week as I have been doing for the past 3 weeks. My symptoms aren't terrible, 1-2 bm's a day all pretty normal looking with occasional small amount of mucus.
I had been fine leading up to this bug after flaring pretty badly in October and had been on pred through mid January. Obviously I don't want to flare again, but my doctor wasn't concerned. I would rather hit this harder but he told me repeatedly that he felt it wasn't necessary. So do I just need to relax and do what he says or do you thing it would hurt to increase the frequency of the enema. I don't have enough Lialda to up that, but I have quite a few boxes of enemas. Thanks!
