Forgot to take my prednisone

Hi everyone I take 30 mg of prednisone every morning and I just realized I forgot to take it this morning. My power was gonna go out due to maintenance so I had my mind completely on that the whole morning. Should I take it now or wait till tomorrow? I'm feeling perfectly fine and my stomach is okay too.

If it were me I would take it. But you can call your pharmacist and they can give you better advice. The reason ppl take it in the morning is cuz it won't keep you up. Also, your body tends to make more cortisol in the am

if you take it now, you risk being awake the rest of the night if you are use to taking it in the morning -

All the medication bottles say if you forget a dose then take your medication as soon as you remember. It might give you insomnia, but the alternative is having a dose of zero instead of 30 that is quite a shock to your body.

I agree with iPoop. Usually meds say to take your missed dose as soon as you remember. I wouldn't mess with skipping out until tomorrow with the pred. If you are really concerned, try to find a pharmacy that is still open and speak with the pharmacist.

But if I take it now won't it mess up my schedule? Would I still take another 30 mg tomorrow morning?

You can still take 30 mg in the am.
You might not be able to sleep.

Okay just took my steroids.. I also forgot to mention that I forgot to take my valganciclovir as well. I take 2 tablets (900 mg) by mouth every 24 hours. Should I take that too?
