So every year I am taken down by strep for the last while. The last two years I ended up in hospital for IV antibiotics as I seem to have trouble shaking it.
This year however I noticed the familiar white dots and that pain - so I took a chance and asked on here what would help as I didn't want to go get the swab and rapid test right away. Someone suggested gargling with a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a small amount of water as often as I could. They said it would help.
I have to tell ya - It worked! fast... shocked the *sh!t outa me.
It really didn't even taste all that bad. I kinda liked it after a while. I'm not sure if this was really strep this time, but I can tell you I could swallow and eat again after gargling. Might be worth a try if you're looking for an alternative.
PS - Strep is a bad thing to mess around with though.... I played that game once and ended up with Scarlet Fever. Was rough. So be cautious, but consider trying the cayenne pepper to take the edge of. An alternate is to let a teaspoon of coconut oil dissolve in your mouth, but I found it no where near as effective as the pepper.
