Yes...I'm whining and feeling really sorry for myself, venting and in excrutiating pain.
Two weeks ago, I needed a good stretch backwards on the ball. Took my socks off and feet slipped...ball kept going back with me on it, and I landed on my head with the momentum and my legs overhead but to the side. Owie....after a mild scolding from my husband, I righted myself to lick my wounds. Took two back relief and the evening went on.
The full effect didnt hit till the next day...neck, upper back and what I understand as the piriformis in my butt. Did it good, and while the chiro adjustments went only OK....Ive progressively turned into a perfect SCurve from the front.
I did a few hair appts (nice my husband was able to drive me to some).....but this weekend has morphed into absolute fear and hell. Appointments cancelled, and Monday is holiday here so cant see the chiro till Wednesday.
Im on a steady intake of back relief and ativan...i have a wrap support and a cane when I need it. Crying yesterday helped 😥.
On Friday evening I was finally able to lie down on my stomach (supported over pillows) to have my husband thump machine massage from upper back to toes and then put the TENS on the area (as per laid out from info found on internet). Said M setting....woowee...thats some zapping sensation!
Interestingly...all is fine UC-wise.
Just needing the support today.

P.S. Don't be in a hurry to get back on that ball! Lol

Remember that canard about
always consulting one's doctor before undertaking a new exercise regimen? (LOL) Take care and let us know how you're doing ... much better, I hope. Glad you didn't land on Jurzi! / Old Hat (35 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

Sorry to hear of your injury. Sucks when you try to do a good thing and it bites you.
The delayed reaction happened to me 2 days ago, hurt my knee at pickle ball, seemed minor, came home and put it up to rest then tried to stand up and entire leg did not work at all (better the next morning).
Hope you see improvement soon and glad it wasn't more serious with your neck.

OH no! I had to look up what a swiss ball was, only to see it is another name for what I use at home and at the gym. At the gym I have slipped on it a handful of times, even wearing grippy runners, when I've used it on a polished wood floor. Luckily each time I fell on my butt and suffered only embarrassment.

Ouch, ouch, ouch! That sounds miserable to me and I hope you feel better soon. Make sure you take it easy and give yourself a chance to heal.

Hi all...thanks for the well-wishes! It's a relief that I'm not the only one? lol. And I know a few (Red) can relate to clumsy, awkward mishaps (notice I didn't put in stupid).
OH..I'm sure my doctor would look at me in shock....What??? you exercised??
Ima...careful since you need those knees for gardening. I'll have to check out pickle ball.
efinitely doing better today, more localised in my butt and going down my leg. But the S curve from the front is getting much straighter...that's a huge improvement.
My husband is a great physiotherapist!
I'm fragile, one wrong move methinks....but amazing how when certain pain improves, natural movement, cross leg, turn more quickly, etc comes with an OH OH, OW whimper.
Venting done....does feel better!

Feel better soon. I know how that feels...I went walking at the walking track at the park and fell and broke my wrist. I am all healed up now, but it hurts when you try to better yourself and get some exercise and this happens. Hope you heal up soon

Oh no....you broke your wrist!! Hope no lasting effects from it. Yes, it's a sobering reality.
Feeling amazingly better today....I'm shocked and ecstatic. I best seek out those appropriate tips to set up a good regimen and technique strategies.

probably best for all you geriatric types to stick with just lying (or is it laying?) in bed -
but heal up quick so you can have another go
