Imuran/Aza side effect

Hi

Can anyone help? I have been on imuran/aza 150mg for 6 months and my colon is very happy - down to 1 to 3 bms per day. I have suffered hair loss and fatigue, but recently my usual aches, particularly in the lower legs and ankles have become much worse. It's waking me up in the night and the usual painkillers don't cover the pain. Has anyone had anything similar?

Have you tried magnesium for the leg pain?

I don't believe leg pain is a side effect of imuran/aza. As uc patients, we're more prone to blood clots, Deep Vein Thrombosis especially. I'd see your primary care doctor and inquire about your pains, as there could be an underlying cause.

Hiya

Thanks for the responses! I have a hospital review coming up so will try and find out what is going on. The colon is happier than it's been in years, which is something at least! I really need to stay with the aaa since it's doing such a great job.
