How can I tell if my diarrhoea is bloody?

Hi. This may sound like a really stupid question but I have had a guts full today and have just started getting diarrhoea.
Up until now my only symptoms have been mucus and a bit of blood when wiping...lovely I know!
But as like many of you I am very observant of the look of my poo but I haven't been able to tell if it is bloody or not.

There would be blood within the residue on the tp when wiping. We all pretty much out evertthing.

We can see one or more of the following when flaring:
  • Blood on TP when wiping
  • Drops of blood on top of the toilet water
  • Drops of blood embedded in or as streaks on the side of a bm
  • Completely bright or dark red stool
  • Completely red stained toilet water
If you have to ask then you're probably not seeing it, as it's pretty distinct. Bloody diarrhea is very bright red, or at least a wine color. You couldn't miss it.

I appreciate your answers and the obvious conclusion would be that it is red.
The only reason I asked was because this is a new symptom for me and with it being quite watery and therefore quite washed out I haven't been able to tell.
If I was to bleed a little I don't think I would notice as opposed to bleeding a lot.

you can have low level bleeding that is high enough up that it is absorbed in the stool and you do not notice that the stool has gotten redish-brown

but you generally also have some mucus-only bm, and it is very easy to see streaks of blood in mucus.

Q, I've had beets the past two days and no red poops yet. I am doing the transit time test so I'm guessing my transit is slow as molasses.

But yeah, diarrhea with blood with turn the bowl red. Didn't mean to sound like a jerk if you thought I did.
